The first two Female Fronted Shows presented by Miss Oblivious

Female Fronted is a series of 8 shows produced by Miss Oblivious throughout the Bay Area and Northwest this summer.
It is not one of those grrrrl events filled with man haters, Female Fronted is more about female, gender bending, queer enthused front persons...with a roar compared to a purrr...
Miss Oblivious presents: FEMALE FRONTED summer series 2010

The music for all events is no-wave, punk electronic trash.... I have also attached a flier and samples of my photography,

Miss Oblivious"Cheyanne Payne" a California Native that is currently a Seattle based dollmaker and mother of two has also begun to split her time in New Orleans, she has worked with cabarets, stunning punks, circus contraption, tranny granny's in SF, and made many dolls of LA based punk legends from the 70’s
She is also a haunted photographer capturing the darker side of glamour, her images have been published as far as Japan. Also a curator and booking agent for gritty folks.

Underbelly Jewel

Underbelly Jewels

Dolls, Film, and Beyond

By: Miss Oblivious

Where waterfront charm consists of neglected boats shielding their wounds behind broken-off piers and where dust-bowl glamour consists of Victorian pageantry in a cabaret of heartaches, Miss Oblivious has drawn inspiration to create individual hand-stitched dolls of
Seattle-based artists and performers through re-creations from still images captured through static and moving film.

Underbelly Jewels is a collection these unique dolls along with Miss Oblivious-made film-shorts and her Whims of Obscure paintings. Underbelly Jewels will be displayed at the Gainsbourg bar.

Opening night & reception
Friday April 10th 6-9 p.m.
10p.m films and a live performance by local ragtime blues genius Lonesome Shack.

Miss Oblivious, a Seattle-based custom doll-maker, writer, film producer/director, and artist, produces a public-access TV show in which she exhibits short films featuring Seattle talent including members of Circus Contraption and The Youngstown Residence. Miss Oblivious also produces Oblivious Nation, a zine documenting her life world, and messes.

Auset Gypsy
Upon arrival from my summer getaway to California was the second Yacht party of Eastlake. I had just sourly departed ways from a close friend and collaborator & was in dire need to have my spirits lifted! Dopp had called and insisted I take a cruise around the sound with my Cancan fam. My mourning stage had literally just begun so my first response was I am not feeling well and would have to pass. Yet he said we set sail at 8 p.m. sharp “BE THERE”. He had also mentioned that a lovely gentleman by the name Auset Gypsy (James) from the east coast would be joining them and I really needed to meet him! James designs his own tarot deck each year by hand, has his own astrology radio show and so on & on.
My husband arrived home around 7:15 and I told him the yacht party was tonight but I was staying in and he said” what” you really need to get out of the house!!!! So in my mind a trigger was pulled and Miss O mode was back! Yeah! How in the hell could I miss this? I need a night at sea with some of my closest Seattle peers and fam.
So I dazzled my eyelids, dressed to impress and headed for the high seas! Well the sound at least! It was with no regret and I did meet a divine creature (Auset Gypsy). We became very acquainted and were able to hangout throughout his weeklong NW stay1 We have kept in contact and in hopes of a future move that involves him living in our emerald city which would result in a gem of a time! Please go check out all his cool candles, tarot and astrology online
